Azenor grew up in Guyana during the 90s, a pivotal period when gold panning still oscillated between pirates and recognized mining companies. She grew up surrounded by the jungle and the Atlantic Ocean, and by the Maroni and Oyapock tributaries. Using local and mixed crafts from neighboring countries as an inspiration, she discovers the use of wood, iron and gold. Whilst in contact with iridescent scarabs, the wings of butterflies which are lined with ashes; giant palm trees, to stones from crystal clear springs, she gets acquainted with life. In order to increase her knowledge and further her observations of nature, she studies biology. In 2014, when following an internship at the MOF jewelery workshops and conservatory in Saint-Etienne, she has an epiphany - the craftsmanship and its process of transforming precious metal into an object. The technical aspect combined with the creativity of this profession become her life. Azénor then went and studied jewelry in France and Switzerland (Carouge), where she obtained her degree as a master jeweler and where she created her first jewelry brand focused on the use of non precious metals, namely organic and mineral matter. Over time, gold and silver become essential in her work as a visual jeweler. In this line of work, the quest for the most precious and beautiful materials is omnipresent. In 2022, her company evolves towards a new brand, one close to her convictions and her commitment to preserving the environment. Keeping true to her desire to recreate the living by focusing on nature, “the matrix”, she presents us with her latest collection - ABYSSALE. This collection is made up of unique, timeless pieces. These pieces will be gifted and then transmitted and repaired for eternity.
