RAPHAELLE COQBLIN
Jewelry has always been a woman’s secret language in my family. My grandmothers wore theirs like armor : Henriette for grand soirées, Raymonde even to the market, draped in diamonds with effortless confidence. Their jewels weren’t just adornments; they were power, allure, identity.
At 18, I inherited my first talisman, Raymonde’s 1920s engagement ring. It stayed with me through Brownian math lectures, intense interviews in the City, and long nights on the trading floor. But passion is what sets people apart. Theirs was finance. Mine was the fire of rubies, the depth of sapphires, the impossible green of an emerald.
Fate intervened on a train from Antwerp to Paris, where Victor -the man who saw my dream before I could- met Georges, the diamond dealer who would craft my engagement ring and open the doors to the world of fine jewelry for me. And so, my jewelry house was born: not just from ambition, but from desire.
My first collection, Crush Nova, is the expression of a lifelong fascination with the cosmos. I remember lying on the sand at night, gazing at constellations, mesmerized by their quiet brilliance against the infinite black. That sense of cosmic wonder, of solar energy radiating through the void, has never left me.
I married this passion for the celestial with my devotion to colored gemstones, especially those rare, overlooked treasures whose flashes of light and unexpected hues reveal a beauty beyond imagination. Their brilliance feels like fragments of the universe itself, condensed into something you can hold, wear, and treasure.
This fascination with radiance is also what drew me to fashion, to the transformative power of adornment. As a Parisienne at heart, I have always believed jewelry to be the ultimate accessory: the element that turns the simplest silhouette—a pair of jeans, a crisp white shirt—into something extraordinary, fashion-forward, effortless, and elegant.
That is how I envisioned Crush Nova: jewels that move seamlessly from day to night, casual to grand, always radiant, always magnetic. More than a collection, it is a constellation of talismans designed to shine.
